Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Cape TownArrive at Cape Town International Airport and transfer to your boutique hotel in the heart of the city. Spend the afternoon exploring the V&A Waterfront or enjoying sundowners with Table Mountain as your backdrop. That evening dine at a restaurant in one of the city's most famous streets in an old Victorian building.
Day 2
Cape Peninsula TourSet out on a full-day guided Cape Peninsula tour with Jonas Sandström. Drive (self-drive or guided) the famous Chapman’s Peak, visit Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope, and meet the penguins of Boulders Beach before returning via Noordhoek and Camps Bay. Enjoy lunch in what locals call, "the Deep South".
Day 3
Table Mountain & City TourStart your day early with the cable car up Table Mountain for panoramic city views. Explore Cape Town’s historic city centre on foot with Jonas Sandström as your head guide, from the colourful Bo-Kaap to the leafy Company’s Garden.
Day 4
The Cape WinelandsTransfer to the Cape Winelands just a 40-minute drive away and check into a boutique wine estate in Stellenbosch. Enjoy a guided cellar tour followed by your first tasting of the region’s award-winning wines. If you want, we can arrange for a spa treatment late afternoon before you enjoy a 3-course dinner in the heart of town.
Day 5
Franschhoek Valley Wine Tram ExperienceSpend the day in Franschhoek, a charming village known for its culinary delights. We’ll arrange a Wine Tram experience for tastings at some of the valley’s finest estates, before indulging in dinner at the hotel.
Day 6
Hike & Wine DayStretch your legs with a morning hike in the neighbouring Jonkershoek Nature Reserve up to the waterfall. Afterward, relax with a vineyard picnic lunch at a nearby wine farm. The evening is yours to enjoy in Stellenbosch.
Day 7
Transfer to DurbanAfter breakfast you'll be transferred to Cape Town International Airport for your flight to King Shaka International Airport in Durban (a 2-hour flight). You'll be greeted at the airport and transfered up the North Coast to Ballito (±15-minutes from the airport). Unwind with an afternoon swim in the warm Indian Ocean and a relaxed evening at a restaurant overlooking the popular beach.
Day 8
Indian Ocean SoakingExplore Ballito’s beach promenade or take an optional ocean excursion to spot dolphins and whales.
Day 9
St Lucia's iSimangaliso Wetland ParkHead north to St Lucia either via self-drive or with a guided transfer. This small town is the gateway to the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located close to the Mozambique border. In the afternoon, embark on a boat safari along the St Lucia Estuary to see hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife.
Day 10
iSimangaliso Wetland Park SafariSpend the day exploring the iSimangaliso Wetland Park and Cape Vidal on a 4x4 safari. Discover its diverse landscapes with a knowledgeable local guide or with Jonas - should you choose a full guided itinerary with us. Here you’ll traverse wetlands, forests, beaches, and savannah - keep an eye out for elephants, rhino, buffalo, antelope, and flamingos.
Day 11
Hluhluwe-iMfolozi ParkTravel inland (±2 hours) and check-in to the only luxury safari lodge within the famous Hluhluwe–iMfolozi Park, Africa’s oldest reserve and home to a well-established rhino conservation programme. Join an afternoon game drive or opt for a safari on foot (incredibly popular within this reserve but exclusively available to guests at this safari lodge only) in search of the Big Five, followed by dinner.
Day 12
Hluhluwe-iMfolozi ParkRise early for a final game drive before breakfast. Afterward, transfer back to Durban’s King Shaka International Airport for your onward journey back home.
